When you refer to oats in your recipes, are they raw? And do you use the regular rolled oats or the instant ones?

Thanks! Also, I was wondering how you manage your sugar intake? I often hear to not have fruit (or not much) because they have so much sugar. How do you distinguish the good/bad? & about the whey protein..i was thinking of incorporating it to my smoothies also, but if my workouts aren’t extensive enough yet will it be pointless and become fat? (Sorry, so many questions!)

As a former sugar addict (and still slightly am) I would say I have come a long way but still working on it. I used to eat ice cream every night but that has changed. As far as the fruit, there are certain fruits that are better (as far as sugar) than others. If you’ve ever heard of glycemic index, that’s where the difference comes in. So berries have a low glycemic index which is why you may see some still eating them but it’s usually in the morning with breakfast. In my opinion, I wouldn’t cut fruit out because it still can be beneficial to you an your health, I just wouldn’t eat fruit all day long. As far as the whey, if you have one shake a day that wouldn’t be bad for your workouts that you feel may not be as intense. Whey protein is just what it is, it is a supplement. A quick way for your body to get the needed protein through out the day. It’s just best after a workout using weights because it gets to your muscles faster. I hope I was able to help!
